"I create art highlighting overlooked women, inspired by their stories and community. My work, influenced by our shared experiences as women of color, blends various techniques to explore the female form's emotional depth. Each piece starts with a story that influences its perspective, capturing a spectrum of emotions and celebrating the resilient spirit of womanhood through vibrant, symbolic imagery."

Tronja Anglero is an African American fine artist who tells stories from the past, present and future through vibrant, figurative paintings of underrepresented women. Based in the DC Metro area, Anglero has worked in the garment industry as a Fashion Illustrator and Designer. Her painting style is strongly influenced by this experience and she continues to apply vibrant colors, experimental textures, and dramatic movements with various mixed media materials and techniques. She is passionate about painting in the perspective of celebration, tradition and perseverance in relation to women of color across the globe.

Anglero is actively involved in the arts community and builds opportunities for other women and minorities to have access to education and artistic pursuits through fundraising and mentorships.
