"Alone Together"

A Virtual Art Exhibit

Curator Statement

These works represent the distinct but connected continuum of emotions during the COVID-19 quarantine. There are works that share the anxiety and pain of the artist. Followed by pieces that express mechanisms of coping, such as, being in nature. And finally artwork that reminds us about the racial injustice that exists in the world, not just during the pandemic, but that has been a systemic problem since long before. Whatever emotion the artist chose to share each stand to remind us that we might be physically alone, but as artists we are always together, using art to bring the world to life.
