First Place

I am grateful and excited that my painting "Rise of Eve" was selected first place for the Changing the World; Women Role Models Exhibit. Thank you Dr. Yemonja Smalls who juried a beautiful collection of impactful art by some very talented women artist.

Much of my art depicts women. How inherently important all the women in my life were, are and will always be . I was surrounded, supported and influenced by so many diverse women of all economic, religion and race. Knowledge was always a key factor in growth, the more you learned the more your world grew. In my art, I hope that people can see the intrinsic beauty that can only be conveyed without words. Through an abundance of symbolism and subtle references, I allude to mythologies, fables, mixed with current life events. Giving people the ability to learn, understand and feel more from the painting each time they look at it.
